We have been committed to the sustainable use of natural resources for a long period of time since our founding. We manage chemicals and all types of waste (refuse) so that they do not harm the environment, and we constantly incorporate environmentally friendly technologies and methods of production.
・We manually separate trash that would normally be discarded as industrial waste and recycle it as a resource.
・We have introduced high-performance recycling equipment and are committed to environmental friendliness.
・We are making efforts to realize a sustainable society by centrally managing all processes from resource recovery to reproduction.

At KODO, we conduct in-house education and awareness-raising on climate change on a daily basis to enhance the ability of people and organizations to deal with the environment, and we are actively working to combat global warming.
・All facilities, including the head office and factories, are equipped with LED lighting
・KODO is actively switching company vehicles from gasoline-powered to hybrid and electric vehicles. We are working to reduce the use of gasoline.
・We have installed state-of-the art equipment in our factories to minimize the flow of harmful chemicals into oceans and rivers.

We are also environmentally conscious in and around our factories, actively promoting tree-planting activities and waste recycling.
・We continue to engage in tree-planting and more along the roads around our factories.
・We maintain the factory roadside areas using barrier grass construction which utilizes waste materials.

・We are working to create a workplace where women are promoted to managerial positions by promoting gender equality through internal regulations.
・KODO works with the Office to Support Continuous Employment to offer direct employment. We will further increase hiring in the future.
・We are creating an environment in which it is easy to work while raising children, such as through telework and shorter working hours.
・We have also written our internal regulations to ensure that people have equal opportunities.
